About Us
Musicalities was formed when the company's founder, Ivan Chandler, was providing music consultancy services to PACT (Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television), the UK's trade association for independent television and film producers. It became apparent to Ivan that producers required a more personalised service that provided specific advice on Music Supervision, Music Copyright and Music Publishing. Musicalities has since that time become one of the leading independent music companies in its field.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We specialise in Music Supervision, Copyright Clearance and Publishing. Our work is based on our knowledge and expertise in music copyright and related law.
We respond quickly to clients' needs. We can manage an entire project or simply deal with one-off musical problems that often occur in the film and music making process.
Services include (but are not limited to):
the preparation of music budgets
negotiating music licences
(often resulting in considerable savings)assisting with creative music choices
administering music publishing rights
delivering and managing all the music documentation
We negotiate blanket licence agreements with PRS, MCPS & PPL, resolve music copyright disputes and provide musicological reports in cases of infringement.

Training is high on the agenda. We are involved in music copyright seminars for the Indie Training Fund and the National Film & Television School. We also devise bespoke music rights courses for broadcasters, independent television production companies & their distributors, colleges, universities and media courses throughout the country.
